Today, Monday, How I Love You!

I woke up this morning

Jumped out of bed

With a burning desire

So ready to start today

I didn’t want to miss

A single second

That could be the one

Opportunity

That is just for me

Feeling so blessed

And honored to be here

Not concerned about

if I got enough rest

Because, it’s a new day

With everything flowing

And going my way

I kiss this, the beautiful

gorgeous new sky

So high I could touch

The clouds

Not needing to know

Or wonder why

Because, life it is on

My side

I am ready to rock

Ready to roll

I am the heart

Am the soul

On this life

I have been given

I am completely  sold

As I follow my bliss

And oh how one more time

I have to give a kiss to

The sky, the clouds, the moon

This day it could not come

Too soon

Because, this is my day

The day I am all about bliss

I do what I want

Receive all that I need

No matter how many shots
I take I cannot miss

As I truly love and am

Showing up as authentic

As I truly can

Being me

Wild and free

With a kiss a hug

Love, my only

Drug

As high I am

On loving

Life

All my own

So, awake I am too

to this new beginning

No need for losing

Or even winning

Going with the flow

Giving and receiving

In kind

Without residing in the past

Letting go of all that has

Lapsed freely allowing

Each moment of this

Day today being

The only ones

I am giving

My time

And energy

To

Love

&

Light

It's a Beautiful Day It's a Beautiful Day Today!

Love, Beyond

Love

Beyond that which is seen

By the eyes

To truly view the beauty

And essence

Of life

I See You With A Heart Full of Love And Understanding

Love

Beyond that which is heard

By the ears

To truly hear the sound

Of radiant

Silence

I See You With A Heart Full of Love And Understanding

Love

Beyond that which is felt

By the touch

To truly  go within

To feel

Alive

I Am Free

Life is Life

We all have one

But, how many days

Are spent actually living?

How many are wasted?

And, never really fully tasted?

The moments that pass by

Without any conscious

Recognition

IMG_8544

How many opportunities

Friends

Love

Relationships

Money

Fun

Joy

Peace

Happiness

Pass us by each and every day?

IMG_8602.JPG

How many times do we hesitate

Because, of fear

Or out of guilt

Or getting caught up

In thinking

Judging the moment

Instead of being in flow

Letting our minds go

Allowing ourselves to be free

To explore

Today, I have really galvanized what I want out of life and who I want to be. Ironically, the two coincide:  Peace, Love and Joy.

These are not just emotions but a state of being.   They are also available every moment of every day.  I need not wait for someone, some thing, or some place for me to be in that state.
In order to get to that state, my focus is on gratitude.   Unconditional gratitude and appreciation for everything and everyone.    Being consciously aware of the moment, and to get to a place where I can find:
Peace:  For it is with peace, that I allow self-acceptance to flow as well accepting of others as they are wherever they are.
Joy:     Through joy, I find fun and happiness that culminates in celebration, which can be for no reason whatsoever.

Love:   With the intention of love, it is my focus, and through such I find freedom.

Through these, I experience ultimate freedom because no longer does anyone (family, friends, coworkers, colleagues, strangers, etc.) or anything (money, location, job – or lack thereof,  etc.) can control me, because I am free.
Free to be,

Me!

I choose when and where, and with who, I spend my time with those that exemplify peace, love and joy in their own life in their own way.
I no longer need to wait to have fun.  I no longer need to wait to be happy.  I no longer need to wait for anything to be at peace, to be in joy, or be in a state of love – for self or others.
The world may be chaotic, but it always has and most likely always will.   We can wait forever for it to change, but waiting is not tasting, and life is meant to be spent living.

I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived. I did not wish to live what was not life, living is so dear; nor did I wish to practice resignation, unless it was quite necessary. I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life, to live so sturdily and Spartan-like as to put to rout all that was not life, to cut a broad swath and shave close, to drive life into a corner, and reduce it to its lowest terms…”

― Henry David Thoreau

CARPE DIEM….LIVE…LIFE……

“We need UP people. You are an UP person.  I am an UP person.”  She proclaimed with childlike enthusiasm.

IMG_20160221_183515Then, she continued.  “My neighbor on the other hand, she will be outside on the most beautiful day, and when you remark about how gorgeous it is she will find a way to see the negative by saying that it probably will rain tomorrow.”

The draining negativity, the malicious calling others names, and the inability to enjoy life is what both of us agreed were who we wanted to surround ourselves with.

“Which one is your favorite?”   I asked after sitting down sitting down looking out at the art exhibit that was on the walls before us.

Often, I hear how difficult it is to open a conversation with someone.  “What do I say?”  That is one of the most common questions.

Instead, I simply ask questions.  After she pointed out the paintings, and photographs, that were the most intriguing (although we mutually liked all of them) I followed up by asking where she was from originally.   That led into a lengthy conversation about her family, her children, and included her mother who lived to be over a 100.

“My doctor said he is going to keep me alive to be a 100.  That is nice, as long IMG_20160215_153859as I have my health, but equally so that I have people to lay with because we need to be connecting with others.”

Each of us was equally shocked when we revealed our ages.  She thought I was somewhere around 30-35, and I thought she was around 60-65 years old.

“I know.”  She smiled. “There is no way you would have ever known that I was 91 years old.”

Her kids, spread out across the nation, all tell her to live and enjoy.  Her son who is a teacher, him himself being in his 60’s, tells her often to “go out and do whatever you like.”

Such great advice no matter the age, simple yet powerful – live!

She does and it shows.   There are no visible signs of wrinkles, she moves about freely without any hesitation or limitation and her mind is completely coherent.

IMG_20160219_182913Living life to its fullest has a unique meaning to each individual person.   We all live, but we are all living our lives a little bit differently.   Each of us our own perspective on how we view the world, and our place in it.   What gives each of our lives’ meaning, it is ours alone to find.

Some may view my time as being wasted as I sat there for what was probably an hour speaking to a woman who I will never see again.  There was no monetary gain to be had nor was there anything either of us wanted from each other.

We simply sat there and enjoyed one another’s company.

“I really enjoyed our conversation.” She expressed as she was leaving to go get ice cream with her two other female companions who came with her to the gathering.   “I really enjoyed connecting.”

There is such beauty in letting go and being present.   I gain so much connecting to others in a genuine authentic way.

It feels good.   And feeling good is, at least for me, what it is all about.

10/10 RIGHT NOW

We are but worlds
away
yet intertwined
connected by the yarn
that binds
from distant planets
place and time
dancing to a rhythm
but separate
in our beat
swaying to the notes
following no lead
holding hands yet never
ever touching
two strangers too caught up
unable to concede
powerless to completely
surrender
to the moment
or stopping long enough
to have an experience
of what it is to be
truly living
breathing
loving
unyielding
is the
the passion
that is only here
right
now

Let There Be (F)light

The body,
Beautiful and amazing
The mind so sexy
The spirit or soul
Such a completely mystery
Intangible the power
When freeing the mind and body
And Just Be
What yesterday was impossible
Is today probable
Even solvable
No one knows where
Each tomorrow may lead
Or what we will see
Don’t ask why
Taste the pleasure
Taste taste the pain
Sweet is letting go
Delicious the unknown
As the spirit is
Free to fly
